People love outdoor weddings – they are romantic, fresh and unique. However as compared to indoor weddings, they are bit tricky and difficult to handle. You can always get it planned the way you want to while keeping several things in mind. No one would like their wedding to turn into a big chaos or things to go wrong because wedding day is the most special and biggest day in a person’s life.
There are several tips and guidelines to help you cope up with the outdoor wedding arrangements. These tips might help you avoid pitfalls. They are as follows:
SOME OUTDOOR WEDDING CONSIDERATIONS:
- The first and foremost important considerations you need to make is the weather that would be followed on your wedding day. Ensure that the weather is neither too hot nor too cold – in both cases problems might be created. If it is extraordinary hot or too sunny, then your guests might just sit there and melt. In case if it is hot outdoors, providing proper fans and in case it is cold, warm up a fire or arrange for heaters.
- Be prepared for unpredictability and uncertainty that comes along with weather at times – rain or snow. Be sure to install proper tents and lighting so the rain does not spoil all the arrangements and the guest’s preparations. In fact, you will need some proper lighting equipment if you are going to have an outdoor wedding at night.
- Prepare your dresses and the bridesmaid dresses accordingly. In an outdoor wedding, do not wear chiffon or china silk or any other such dress that might lose its shine. Also, plan for the wind in case it gets too windy. Again, thinking about the weather is a very important point here.
- While selecting menu, always go for something that would go along with the outdoor arrangements and the weather. Things that would be eaten in outside weather whether it is hot or cold should be planned out. Barb-e-que, fried rice, salads are good however too much heaviness should be avoided.
- Choose to serve drinks considering the outdoor setting. In cold, serve tea, coffees and other warm drinks whereas in hot weather, go for juices, lemonades etc.
- Make arrangements to swap away the flies, insects or any other such creatures that are commonly found outdoors. You do not want your guests fretting over something that makes them feel uncomfortable or makes the wedding less enjoyable for them. Make sure the place is free of any filth and dirt.
